Vision
We are a learning community passionate about developing, inspiring and guiding a boy on his journey to manhood.
Specialists in educating boys
At Brighton Grammar School we celebrate boys - their effort, their independence, their passion and their achievements.
With a history of more than 125-years devoted to teaching boys, we are well equipped to meet their developmental needs at every stage of their education.
We particularly understand that boys learn differently from girls and require a carefully structured context to optimise the learning experience.
The most important resource in a school is the teaching staff. At Brighton Grammar School, all teachers have consciously elected to teach boys. They know how to challenge boys academically and how to teach them in a way they understand.
Staff Professional Development
Staff members at all levels of the School are active participants in a variety of Professional Development activities. Most staff attend a number of external conferences and workshops each year.
Over the past few years, a very successful program of reflective writing and internal conference presentations has been conducted.
Our formative appraisal system encourages active reflection and action research into teaching practice. It is pleasing to see more of our staff being invited to present papers at conferences, showcasing the excellent work we are doing at Brighton Grammar.
