Scholarships: Enrolments
We are an open entry school and welcome all boys, once it has been established that we can meet their needs. Priority of entry is given to siblings, the children of Old Boys and by date of application.
Major intake years for new boys occur at the following year levels:
- Early Learning Centre (3 and 4 year olds)
- Preparatory grade (5 year olds)
- Year 4
- Year 7
Vacancies occur from time to time at other year levels.

Scholarship Program for entry in 2011
Brighton Grammar School's academic Scholarship examinations are conducted in February/March each year. A small number of Academic Scholarships will be available from the commencement of Term 2, 2010
For entry to the School in Years 4-9, application is by online registration only. No late applications are considered.
The number of Scholarships awarded each year is dependent upon the quality of the applicants and the availability of places.
No boy may be the holder of more than one School Scholarship.
Scholarships covering partial fees will be offered. Tenures vary, and the Scholarships do not cover the cost of books, stationery or uniforms.
A Scholarship may be withdrawn if the Headmaster is not satisfied with the diligence or conduct of the holder.
Scholarships Available for Entry to the School in 2011
A. Academic
Boys entering Years 4 to 9 inclusive. Examinations will be conducted on Saturday, 20 February 2010
B. Music Scholarships
Boys entering Years 5 to 9 inclusive - for players of Orchestral Strings, French Horn, Lower Bass and advanced pianists who wish to study the Organ. Applications close Wednesday, 10 February 2010 and auditions will be conducted on Monday, 22 February 2010
C. St. Andrew's Church Choir Scholarships
Boys entering Years 4 to 6 inclusive. Applications close Wednesday, 10 February 2010 and auditions will be conducted on Wednesday, 24 February 2010
D. General Excellence Scholarships
Boys entering Years 7 to 11 inclusive.

Current students of Brighton Grammar School are not eligible for this Scholarship.
E. The Mark John Comport Scholarship
This Scholarship is available for a boy with a physical disability to enter our Junior School.
It is tenable until the end of Year 12, and is means tested.
