Early Learning Centre (ELC)
How many boys are in each class in the ELC?
There are two 3 Year Old Classes of which can both can take 20 boys (15 full time & 5 part time per class). There are two 4 Year Old classes each with a maximum of 22 places.
How many part time places do you offer in the ELC?
Currently in our 3 Year Old program we offer 5 part time places in each class.
Which are the part time days in the ELC?
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
What are the operational hours of the ELC?
The 3 Year Old program hours are 9.00 am to 2.30 pm.
The 4 Year Old program hours are 8.45 am to 3.00 pm.
What specialist programs do you offer in ELC
Performing Arts, Buddy Program, Creative Arts, Health and Physical wellbeing, Library/literacy and a weekly assembly
Do the boys in the ELC use the whole school facilities?
The ELC students access all school facilities to immerse them into the Brighton Grammar School community.
Do you provide a Before or After School Care program?
Yes the program commences at 7.30 am each day. All the boys attending on any given day are walked over to the ELC and signed in.
ELC boys attending the After School Care program are picked up at the end of the day, signed out and walked over to the After School Care program which is operational until 6.00pm.
Breakfast is supplied in the morning and afternoon tea in the afternoon.

If my husband is an Old Boy do we get preference for a place?
Sons of Old Boys are given preference on waiting lists, but this does not guarantee entry.
My son has a brother at the School. Does he automatically have a place?
Brothers of boys currently enrolled in the School are given preference, however they still have to complete the Confirmation process.
My daughter goes to Firbank. Do we automatically have a place at Brighton Grammar School for our son?
When places are offered siblings at Firbank are taken into consideration.
When will I know if my son has a place at Brighton Grammar School?
The confirmation of enrolment process begins approximately 18 months prior to entry.
How long will I be on a waitlist?
It is impossible to give an accurate time line, however once the Confirmation process commences all places that become available are offered within a short time frame. Once the process is complete and all places are full, parents of boys on the waiting list will be contacted only when a place becomes available. If during this time you change your contact details you will need to inform our Admissions Office.
