Peter Isaacson (OB 37)

In June 1947 Peter Isaacson purchased his first newspaper for four hundred pounds, little thinking it would be the beginning of a company that would publish more than 60 titles in Australia and 40 abroad.
He had started as a messenger boy with The Age, and would become the largest independent publisher in the Southern Hemisphere.
During World War 11 he would fly “Pathfinders” for the RAF taking part in 45 missions over occupied Europe winning the DFC, Air Force Cross and DFM, and made headlines by flying his Lancaster Bomber under Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Peter Isaacson AM DFC AFC accepts his Hall of Fame award from School Council Chairman, Ian Paroissien.
