A variation on “Celebrity Heads” where one person has to guess the profession they have been assigned to.
This is a really fun game that gets the participants thinking about characters and introduces the technique of responding in the “Hot Seat”
What do I need?
- Two or more people
- Ideas for characters
- Ideas for questions to ask the character who is applying for the job
How to play:
One person is the interviewee. They leave the room whilst the others on the interview panel (can be one or more in this role) decide what the job is that the character is applying for.
The interviewee enters the job interview and sits on a chair facing the panel. The interviewing panel then asks the interviewee questions to work out if they are suitable for the job they have “applied” for.
The key part of this drama game is to ask appropriate questions related to what the job is but not too obvious to give it away too quickly. The interviewee has to guess the job they are in the hot seat for.
There is lots of room for improvisation with this game.
Examples of jobs:
- Zoo Keeper
- Father Christmas
- The Easter Bunny
- The Tooth Fairy
- An artist
- A ballet dancer
- A taster in a confectionary factory
- Willy Wonker
