Join us on Wednesday 13 November to hear the remarkable journey of BGS Hall of Famer, David Russell (OB 1987).
David is a founding Partner and Chairman of Equis, Asia-Pacific’s largest independent infrastructure private equity manager. David has 25 years of Asia-Pacific infrastructure and private equity experience having raised and realised over US$10 billion of equity for some of Asia-Pacific’s largest independent and institutional infrastructure funds.
David is also the founder and Chairman of the CSS Foundation, which funds education, health and housing for vulnerable parents and children in Russia, Uzbekistan and the Philippines.
David was the CEO and Chairman of Equis Energy, Asia’s largest renewable energy independent power producer. In October 2017, Equis sold Equis Energy to a Global Infrastructure Partners led consortium for $7.4 billion, the largest renewable energy transaction in history.
Prior to Equis, David was Senior Managing Director and Head of Greater China and Asian Private Equity at Macquarie Group and an energy and utilities lawyer with Skadden in the United States and Minters in Australia.
David has been recognised with numerous industry awards, authored over 110 papers regarding infrastructure and is regularly identified in Singapore Tatler’s 300 most influential people.

The BGS Business Breakfast program is a quick, fun way for members of the wider BGS community (parents, past parents, sponsors and Old Boys) to connect with each other while being inspired by amazing stories of success of those connected with the School. The breakfasts are held quarterly and finish before 9am.
