23 August: Diversity presentation by 2016 Australian of the Year

The standard you walk past is the standard you accept – a challenge for Australia’s youth

Free presentation for parents and Senior School boys.

As part of our Understanding Boys series of expert guest speakers discussing topics related to raising boys, we are privileged to welcome Lieutenant General David Morrison, 2016 Australian of the Year,  will who discuss gender equality, diversity and inclusion.  Lt. Gen. Morrison soared to international prominence when his 3-minute recorded speech ordering misbehaving troops to ‘get out’ if they couldn’t accept women as equals, went viral. To date, this video (see below) has been viewed by more than 1.7 million people.

As former Chief of Australian Army and now as Chair of the Diversity Council of Australia, Lt. Gen. Morrision has continued to be a champion of human rights, diversity and equality for women, cultural minorities and those with disabilities. We applaud and share his view,  if you can’t respect women, then get out, and want to work with you our parents to instil this in the boys of BGS.

Don’t miss this hard hitting, straight talking presentation.  Breaking from tradition, on this occasion only, boys from the Senior School are invited to join their parents to hear this important address from our Australian of the Year.

As always this presentation is free but places are sure to fill up fast, so book below today.
