Are you eligible to apply?
Selection for the bursary will be based on:
- Marks and ability in the physical sciences and mathematics.
- Overall academic profile, showing a well-rounded learner who enjoys the pursuit of learning
- Attitude and engagement in learning, such as class interaction and ability to hold an argument
- A short essay response to the question “What areas of Science and Technology knowledge particularly interest you and how can they help solve some of the world’s problems.
$1,000, awarded once per year
Current students of BGS
The recipient of the Baylis Bursary must intend to study a Science, Engineering or Technology based degree.
A Scholarship may be withdrawn if the Headmaster is not satisfied with the diligence or conduct of the holder. Failure to pay fees may also lead to withdrawal. The School reserves the right not to award any or all of the scholarships available. No boy may hold more than one scholarship.
