More fun than run

The fifth Connor’s Run took place on Sunday 17 September, a perfect spring day. BGS volunteers (students, parents and staff) were up early to help run a water station. Ross Featherston carried an extra 5kg in line with his pledge. The Brighton Grammar MS team was the fourth-highest fundraiser (with $4637), and in total, the event raised an incredible $776, 831 for brain cancer research.

Nick James (OB 1997) was one of the runners. Nick was in a car accident in 2013, when he was 17, that left him with acquired brain injury and in a wheelchair. Last week, he spoke to the Year 12s about road safety, warning the boys against getting into unsafe cars. As part of his rehabilitation, Nick assists in the SS Library once a week. He is a committed participant in Connor’s Run and an inspiration to the whole community.
