BGS Made It Count
The final week of Term 2 saw the BGS community rally together to donate over $6000 in much needed food items as part of the Ute Full of Food program. The team at St Mark’s in Fitzroy was overjoyed at the generosity of BGS, as the donations made a very real and immediate impact for those who are truly struggling.
As students could not be part of the delivery team, Adam Thorn, one of our maintenance staff, was quick to offer to sort and deliver the huge haul of food to St Mark’s.
On another positive note, despite many of the BGS Bushfire Appeal fundraising activities being cancelled, we still donated an impressive $2,917.40 to the appeal. This is an amazing effort that will go a long way to help the rebuild of Clifton Creek Primary School which was completely devastated by the bushfires earlier this year.
On behalf of everyone at BGS, a massive thank you for showing the true spirit of Brighton Grammar, together we made it count!
