Be part of our team

There is a great team culture at BGS.

We care for each other, have high expectations of each other, are accountable to each other and are committed to the very best outcomes possible for the boys.

Our teachers…

Our teaching staff are widely respected for their deep understanding of boys’ education.  They are here because they understand boys.

They know to get the best outcomes for every boy you really need to know the students and so part of the role is to also be actively involved in cultural, pastoral, and sporting aspects of the School.

Why we love working at BGS

A recognised strength of working at BGS is the way all staff are actively encouraged to continue their own growth as professionals though investing in staff professional development.

This takes many forms –  at school, locally, interstate and even overseas.

It’s not just about teaching…

Innovative, leading edge, efficient and excellence are the words that describe the work undertaken by our Professional Support Staff.

The School has a large team of staff covering areas such as finance, corporate services, IT, human resources, outdoor education, music, marketing and maintenance. These Professional Support Staff are a vital part of the dynamic School community and, alongside the teachers, strive constantly for what is best for the boys.

Our professional support staff also have the opportunity to be involved in our co-curricular programs, working closely students, be that on the sporting field, on stage or otherwise.

We're an Employer of Choice

Collegiality, mastery and wellbeing especially during 2020 are priorities for staff alongside an awarded professional learning program of instructional coaching spearheaded by our Crowther Centre.

It’s all a continuing validation really, that BGS isn’t just a great place to be for the boys, but it’s a great place to work too.
