Success at the 2025 Australian Interschools Snowsports Championships
I am pleased to share with you a summary of the results from the 2025 Australian Interschools Nationals at Mt Buller.
This year we had 65 boys compete at the Victorian Interschools Championships, with 30 qualifying through to Nationals held at Mt Buller – this is the largest number in the history of the program, a fantastic percentage of our program and a clear reflection of the depth and commitment of our students and parents.
Secondary School Summary
Our Secondary boys produced a superb set of results, highlighted by multiple podiums, consistent top-10 finishes, and strong team efforts.
Podium Results (Secondary):
- Leo Grollo – Division 1 Ski Slopestyle – 2nd
- Toby Jones – Division 2 Ski Cross – 3rd
- Jack Salvo – Division 3 Alpine GS – 2nd
- Jack Salvo – Division 3 Ski Cross – 3rd
Other outstanding team results included:
- Division 2 Ski Cross – 8th place team (Toby J, Max M, Harry C)
- Division 2 Snowboard Cross – 10th place team (Tony Z, Spencer M, Eli C)
- Division 2 Alpine GS – 9th place team (Toby J, Max M, Hudson H, Harry C)
- Division 3 Alpine GS – 7th place team (Jack S, Jack R, Hunter A, James M)
The Secondary team finished 7th overall in Australia and, as the 3rd-ranked Victorian school, achieved an exceptional result for a relatively small squad.
Junior School Summary
Our Junior School athletes also performed brilliantly, showing courage, skill, and teamwork across all events.

- Tom Salvo – Division 4 Alpine GS – 1st (National Champion)
- Tom Salvo – Division 4 Ski Cross – 2nd
- Barry Bai – Division 5 Snowboard Cross – 2nd and Snowboard GS – 3rd
- Felix Lewis – Division 5 Moguls – 3rd
Team highlights included:
- Division 4 Ski Cross team (Tom Salvo, Luca Rehder, Rory Lawson) finished 2nd overall
- Division 4 Alpine GS – 5th overall team

Jax U, Huddy K, Jasper M - Division 5 XC Relay – 6th overall team

The Junior School finished 5th overall in the Champion Primary Boys School standings, a fantastic achievement that highlights the future strength of our program.
Overall, our boys secured nine individual podium finishes and many more top-10 results. More importantly, they represented Brighton Grammar with pride, determination, and excellent sportsmanship.
