Term 3 closes, the days are getting longer, and the promise of better weather is upon us. For our Year 12s, the finish line is now in sight, while for the rest of our students this break marks the final opportunity to recharge before the last quarter of the year.

As such, it is the perfect time to reflect on the year so far: the successes and disappointments, where your son has achieved his goals, and perhaps where the challenges have proved more difficult than expected.

As we often say, an important part of the schooling experience is being challenged. It is through these moments that our boys learn and grow, whether by drawing on their own resources to meet those challenges or by making thoughtful adjustments to their goals.

What we do not want them to do is give up, or to assume they are not liked or are incapable of certain things based on misinformation or misplaced perceptions. A report, a conversation with a class teacher, or a structured discussion with you as parents about the year so far can help ensure the final quarter is one of genuine growth and development.

The weeks ahead will pass quickly, and there is still much that can be achieved before the year concludes. With encouragement, perspective, and a willingness to engage with both successes and setbacks, our boys can finish the year with confidence and purpose. We wish you a safe break and look forward to Term 4.
