Memorable Performance

Lauren Bruce, one of Invicta’s Coaches, achieved a career milestone when she won a silver medal for New Zealand in the women’s hammer throw at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The result was especially significant for Lauren, who had previously represented New Zealand at two Olympic Games, a World Championship and Commonwealth Games but had never progressed beyond the qualification rounds.

Already a five-time New Zealand champion and Oceania record holder, Lauren added a Commonwealth Games silver medal to her impressive list of achievements, inspiring our Junior School boys to aim high and follow their dreams.
