‘Anything Goes’…

By Michael Kent – Head of Drama and School Productions 7-12

Last Friday saw the coming together of the huge cast and crew of Anything Goes for the first Senior Production rehearsal. The Brighton and Firbank Grammar students involved spent some time mingling and catching up at the beginning, before getting to the business of learning the titular song: ‘Anything Goes’. After a couple of hours, the students were singing beautiful harmonies and seemed keen to learn the choreography on the coming Sunday.

Following the rehearsal, Rosstrevor became packed to the rafters as parents flooded in for the first parent information evening where they were introduced to the show and team working on it.

Sunday afternoon rehearsal proved to be a very productive one with the cast learning the choreography for ‘Anything Goes’, the leads completing a full script read-through and then the first scene being blocked. It was great to see all of the students working so hard and thoroughly enjoying themselves. We are very excited for where this show is heading with such a talented and enthusiastic cast and crew aboard for Anything Goes 2019!
