Awake Program

Personal growth and wellbeing

Year 10 students embarked on the transformative Awake Program at Eumeralla Scout Camp in Anglesea last week. This retreat, designed to calm the mind, foster meaningful connections, and deepen self-awareness, provided a balance of relaxation, personal growth, and stepping out of comfort zones.

Students participated in three, two hour elective activities, choosing from options such as golf, surfing, pottery, jiu-jitsu, and many more. In addition, they engaged in four wellbeing sessions – sound healing, breathwork, zine creation, and yoga and meditation – each led by wellbeing professionals who guided them in managing emotions and overwhelming schedules.

A highlight of the camp was the involvement of past students and mentors who facilitated the experience, offering insightful knowledge and guidance. Their support helped students navigate the journey with greater understanding and reflection.

The camp proved to be an unforgettable experience, leaving students feeling refreshed, connected, and more in tune with themselves.
