Celebrating 142 years

Happy Birthday BGS.

In celebration of the School’s founding on 14 February 1882, the Founder’s Day Chapel welcomed back the oldest Old Brighton Grammarians as members of the Pendennis Chapter and inducted Old Boys who have now reached sixty years since leaving BGS milestone. The guest speaker was Reverend Charlie Fletcher (OB 1990), Senior Minister of All Saints, Clayton, who spoke about his missionary work and imparted some advice to current students: ‘Be brave, make the most of your opportunities, be guided by love not fear, there is always hope’. The lighthearted Founder’s Day ‘beat the buzzer’ followed the formalities, as House representatives competed in a BGS history quiz won by School House.
