Community Mural Project

Year 10 Art students have had the opportunity to contribute to their local community and apply their classroom learning into a real world context by producing a wonderful mural.

Local residents approached the school in October, asking if we would be interested in assisting with the painting of a wall in the laneway between Outer Crescent and Crowther Lane.

The wall had been subject to vandalism fairly regularly and the local residents had already sought and attained Bayside Council permission to place a mural on the wall that would assist in deterring further vandalism.

The Year 10 Art students came up with the mural design themselves and worked with local spray painting studio, KIL Productions, to create their masterpiece.

The Art students are extremely proud of their work and rightly so!
