Cross-age creativity

Four Year 6 Art Monitors are working with boys in Years 2, 3 and 5 in the Juniors School Art Club this term. The boys have made striking clay poppies, which will be glazed, fired and mounted for unveiling at the Remembrance Day Service in November (no previews!). They have also been painting with marbles, producing layered Jackson Pollockesque works.

Art Club is an invaluable opportunity for cross-age interaction and peer teaching in a creative environment. The Club, which runs on Tuesday lunchtimes, is open to all. Next term, Years 1, 4 and 6 will have their turn so if you have a budding artist in the family, make sure he signs up to attend.
