Grand Final Glory

Community Spirit

Grand Final Day on Saturday 15 August was a memorable celebration of Brighton Grammar sport. With three Grand Finals hosted at home, the campus came alive with a gala-style atmosphere as the Brighton community turned out in numbers to support our teams.

The First XVIII capped an undefeated season with a 72–63 victory over Caulfield Grammar, becoming the inaugural APS Football Premiers. The First Rugby XV produced a terrific performance to defeat a competitive St Kevin’s 22–14 and claim the VSRU Premiership.

The First Soccer XI fought hard, but St Kevin’s College secured a 1–0 victory.  The First Basketball V, playing away against Caulfield Grammar, went down 80–63. After winning just one match in 2025, to reach the Grand Final was a fantastic achievement.

Under perfect sunny skies, a special whole-school celebration was held on the Crowther Oval on 20 August where ELC-Year 12 students and the wider BGS community celebrated the achievements of all competing teams, including our 2026 APS Tennis Premiers, capping off a remarkable week of BGS sport.
