Hobart Dance Tour

Students' debut performance

Fourteen of our talented Secondary School dancers recently travelled to Hobart, Tasmania, to perform in the Hutchins School’s annual Dance Showcase.

The event attracted over 1,000 audience members, offering our students a fantastic platform to display their skills. This year marked our students’ debut performance at the showcase, having attended as audience members last year.

The schedule included two days of intense rehearsals, with the boys showing great dedication and enthusiasm.  A trip to the waterfront for ice cream provided a welcome break.

Performing alongside the Hutchins School dancers, our boys gained invaluable confidence and experience, bonding as a team and growing our dance program.

We are proud of our dancers for their outstanding performances and the professionalism they displayed throughout the event. This trip was more than just an opportunity to perform—it was a chance to grow, learn, and celebrate the joy of dance together.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Hutchins School when they join us on 13 September for our Dance Night on the Rosstrevor Stage.

This partnership is just one of the many ways we are building a vibrant dance culture at Brighton Grammar School.
