Isaac plays at the Opera House

The Honors Orchestra brings together Australia’s most accomplished high school music students with international peers to play at the Sydney Opera House. Isaac Lee (Year 7) was selected as one of only two Australian members for the Orchestra’s performance in July.

The rehearsal schedules for the performance were tight, rigorous and long but the members were highly motivated to practise. Parents were invited to attend open rehearsals and according to Isaac’s mum June, it was incredible to see what American conductor Jason Seber was able to do with a group of young musicians from a diverse background in just a few days.

The biggest challenge for Isaac, as the youngest member of the group, was showing international group members around Sydney!
