Lunar Crowned 2025 Aramco STEM Racing World Champions
From BGS to the world stage.Brighton Grammar School is incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Team Lunar, who have been crowned 2025 Aramco STEM Racing World Champions in Singapore.
This remarkable victory is not only a triumph for Brighton Grammar, but also for Victoria and Australia, standing out among 1.8 million participants globally and the 83 student teams competing from around the world.
Their success is a testament to the team’s dedication, innovative thinking, and countless hours of hard work. Congratulations to team members and Secondary School students Leo, Oli, Liam, Max and Max, whose achievement on the global stage is an inspiration for students everywhere. Special thanks also to staff mentors Mr Jamie Watson, Mr Thivi Athipar, Mr Mat Steed and Jenson Galvin for their guidance and support throughout the journey.
Adding to the celebrations, Max and Liam were among only 10 students globally selected to join the prestigious Komatsu Williams Academy, where they will receive world-class mentorship and support in their STEM education.
Brighton Grammar also congratulates its second student team, Team Ad Astra, who represented Australia with distinction at their first World Finals appearance, reaching the semi-finals knockout round.
Headmaster Ross Featherston said the victory reflects the strength of Brighton Grammar’s commitment to innovation and future-focused learning.
“Our boys have demonstrated that with passion, creativity and resilience, students can take their ideas to the world stage and succeed. We could not be prouder of what they have achieved.”
