Peter Toms OAM

Congratulations to Peter Toms on being awarded an Order of Australia Medal for service to the community through a range of roles.

Since joining Brighton Grammar School in 1966, Peter has made an enormous impact in the lives of thousands of BGS boys.

Peter initially taught in the Junior School prior to teaching in the Secondary School from 1970 to 1987. The following year, Peter was appointed Head of our Junior School and served in this position for 21 years.  Peter now works in our Development Office.

In addition to his work at BGS, Peter has worked tirelessly for various charities including as a volunteer for St Vincent’s de Paul for over 26 years and for 16 years for a charity very close to his heart, Women for Women in Africa, where he serves as a board member.

Congratulations Peter on this well deserved award.
