Record-breaking success
Swimmers surge to victoryBrighton Grammar students were key members of APS Representative Swimming team and contributed to the team winning the Boys’ Division at the 2026 Victorian School Associations Competition (VSAC) at MSAC.
Year 11 students William Tan and Will Luo, Angus Youl (Year 10) and Fletcher Davies (Year 9) also helped the team to win the overall Combined Boys & Girls competition for the 7th year in succession.
The VSAC event showcases the best talent from across all School Sport Associations around Victoria.

All four students raced admirably. Angus recorded third place in both the 14-15 50m Backstroke and 14-15 Medley Relay and placed second in the Open Backstroke Relay.
Fletcher placed fourth in the 14-15 50m Breaststroke and third in the 14-15 Medley Relay.
William Tan scored first place in the Open Mixed Freestyle Relay and 16 and over Freestyle Relay, with both relays breaking VSAC records.
Will Luo placed second in both the 16 and over 50m Backstroke and Open Backstroke Relay.
Each swimmer contributed to an outstanding collective result at one of Victoria’s premier school swimming competitions.
