STEM Racing World Finals

Student teams ready to race

Brighton Grammar’s teams Lunar and Ad Astra have been gearing up for the 2025 STEM Racing World Finals in Singapore this September.

Competing against a record 92 of the world’s best teams from over 60 countries, the students have been working tirelessly to research and develop their race cars and prepare all assessed project elements ahead of the world’s largest STEM competition at Resorts World Sentosa.

The teams have been testing and refining new and innovative concepts, extending classroom knowledge into real-world engineering by using real-world CAD technology, precision manufacturing and data analysis to gain every possible performance advantage on the 20m racetrack.

Beyond the cars, Lunar and Ad Astra have been building strong partnerships with sponsors to fund their campaigns and promote their work to the wider community. They have been presenting their achievements in marketing, digital media, and sustainability through their Enterprise Portfolios, while showcasing meticulous project management to keep every part moving both on and off track.

With fierce global competition, every member is driving their area of expertise to meet every judging criterion, building on the experience and momentum of BGS’s success at the National Finals earlier this year.
