Students ask: how liveable is Brighton?

Year 7 students have been out and about in Church Street and Bay Street Brighton, diligently collecting data on what makes Brighton such a liveable suburb.

The boys were on a field trip as part of a Place and Liveability unit in Geography. They observed and collected data to gauge the contribution that both streets make to Brighton.  They will then report on their findings, including recommendations to increase liveability.

Field trips provide students with new opportunities for learning through experiences in an authentic setting. They ask, ‘What? Why? How?,’ but are then able to gather immediate feedback which enhances their learning.
