Take holidays for granted?

Jack’s on the case.

Jack Carlson (Year 12) is one of six BGS students donating their time to ‘Paint Your Case for a Cause’.

The event, organised by the Magical Getaway Foundation in collaboration with our School, is raising awareness that 1 in 3 Aussie kids have never been on a holiday – not even a weekend away.

The Foundation gives children first-ever holidays to places that most of us take for granted, like Lorne and Phillip Island. These holidays provide hope and lifetime changes for the children and their families.

Our students, along with six students from Shelford Girls’ Grammar, will transform their cases into their best holiday memory. Jack has named his case ‘Orokaiva’ – photo to come in a later eNews. Of Jack, the Foundation said, “We were inspired by his kindness and commitment to support others, despite doing VCE.”

The cases will be auctioned at the Foundation’s Give Back & Getaway Dinner on Saturday 25 November at the Park Hyatt.
