The Lodge

Brighton Grammarians’ Masonic Lodge

What is the Freemason’s Lodge?

The Brighton Grammarians Lodge merged with Caulfield Grammarians Lodge to form The United Schools Lodge No 941 on  18 November 2017.

Any Old Boy can join the United Schools Lodge, which is affiliated with Freemasons Victoria.

The Traditions of Freemasonry are very old and quite fascinating and date back to the time of King Solomon BC 3000.

The aims of Freemasonry are to practice universal charity, provide opportunities for self -development, build friendships, foster moral standards and seek excellence in all pursuits.

Brighton Grammarians Lodge 433 was founded in 1927 and up untill the merge in 2017, met at the Brighton Temple (off Church Street).  Founding Members included H. V. Mitchell, H.E.Dixon, R.W.Tovell, Archdeacon Hancock and W.A. Jack.

Since the establishment of The United Schools Lodge in 2017 , The Lodge meets on the second Wednesday of each month, at the new Freemasons Temple on Nepean Highway, on the corner of North Road.

Many are under the misapprehension of Freemasonry being a secret society—which it certainly is not!  It is a very open Organisation and a great supporter of the needy in our community
