Deputy Headmaster, Head of the Crowther CentreWe celebrated Founders Day this week, reflecting on our 144-year history. Walking through the gardens on a warm sunny morning to attend a special chapel service attended by BGS alumni was a highlight of the week.
It is beautiful to watch the boys reflecting on what it means to have finished school over 60 years ago and witness those elders receiving their Pendennis pin. To put it in perspective, our current Year 7s, attending their second official chapel service with the whole Secondary School, will reach that point in 2091!
Attending a fortnightly chapel service, congregating together in House groups and allowing time for curiosity and reflection is an important part of the rhythm of BGS.
We look forward to seeing you at our parent events next week; Ready to Learn for boys in Year 7 and their parents, and Early Years Literacy for our Prep to Year 2 parents. See links for booking these workshops in Diary Dates.
