Deputy Headmaster, Head of the Crowther CentreIt is very hard to know if we are improving in our learning without feedback. Our saying for feedback is that it should be ‘just in time, just for me, when and where I need it most.’
But we also know that feedback can be tricky to give – it involves time, being seen, feeling safe, understanding next steps, and deep reflection.
The way we do this in Secondary School is a combination of Exam Handback Day, which is guided reflection, then a follow up through coaching day, which helps the boys with their understanding and provides a direction forward.
Please reach out to us at the Crowther Centre if you have any questions or areas you would like us to explore in more detail.
