Para athlete visit
Achievement and InclusivityAccomplished para athlete Will Bishop visited Brighton Grammar to talk to our Firsts Hockey and Basketball teams and Urwin Centre leaders about his remarkable sporting journey.
Will, the son of SS French Teacher Pam Bishop, is an undergraduate student at Cardiff Metropolitan University, studying sports coaching.
Alongside his studies, Will, who has mild cerebral palsy, has represented Wales in wheelchair basketball at U18 level, winning two national golds and competing in the 3×3 Commonwealth Games qualifiers. In para athletics, he is a top-ranked T35 sprinter and F35 long jumper in the UK.
Will spoke about being an athlete with a disability, inclusive sport and what we can all do to be more inclusive on and off the field. His visit was another BGSInc initiative as we embrace respect, diversity and community at Brighton Grammar.
