Languages Week
Celebration of Culture and ConnectionBrighton Grammar came alive with colour, flavour and fun recently as we celebrated Languages Week!
Students had the chance to explore the four languages that we study at school – Japanese, Chinese, French and Latin – through a wide range of exciting activities.
During Tutor group, students took part in a Languages Quiz, testing their knowledge of words, cultures and the fascinating ways languages are interconnected.
Cooking classes were a highlight of the week, with students learning to make delicious crêpes, dumplings, yakisoba and even pizza. The aromas drifting through the school were irresistible!
The Languages Photobooth was another favourite. Students dressed up in costumes representing the four BGS languages, striking fun poses and creating lasting memories with their friends.
Throughout the week, there were also creative poster activities and an Education Perfect challenge that inspired students to engage with language learning in new ways.
Languages Week was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the value of learning languages and to appreciate the cultures behind them.
