Community in Action

Strength and Compassion

The World’s Greatest Shave at Brighton Grammar is a powerful reminder of the strength and compassion within our school community.

At lunchtime recently, a large crowd gathered to support 10 students who took the brave step of shaving their hair, some in memory of loved ones, and others in support of friends and family currently undergoing treatment.

Thank you to Clubhaus Barbers (formerly Barbers of Brighton), who generously gave their time and expertise once again to support the event.

We were also honoured to be joined by Sanele Ngubane from the Leukaemia Foundation, helping to reinforce the purpose behind the day.

We are incredibly proud of what the BGS community achieved, raising an outstanding $8,490. Each participant played a vital role, with special mention to Billy A (Year 8) who raised  $2,480, and Issa S (Year 9), and Brendan H (Year 11) who raised over $1,000 each.

This event was about standing together, showing support, and demonstrating the values that define our community.
