Parent Programs at BGS

From the Crowther Centre

Every family is unique, with its own values and approaches to parenting. However, we know that when families and schools collaborate—creating consistency and support—the outcomes for our young people can be significantly more positive and enduring. This understanding is the foundation of our Parent Programs at BGS.

Throughout the year, we offer workshops and online webinars on topics that matter to our community. These programs are based on solid research. We sift through the information, presenting you with clear, factual insights that empower you to make informed decisions for your own family.

Our workshops are tailored to the different age groups within our school community. We partner with psychologists, subject matter experts, and our pastoral teams to tackle the issues that resonate most with you. Whenever possible, we also feature internal speakers, allowing you to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussions.

Each workshop provides practical strategies to help you navigate the challenges of parenting. We share frameworks for effective conversations, solutions for when things go awry (because they will), and stories of what has worked for others. Our goal is for you to leave with actionable tools you can use in your daily life.

Importantly, we want you to feel connected and supported. Parenting can be challenging in today’s world, and it’s comforting to know that you’re not alone. Many others share your experiences and feelings.

Our parenting programs are continually evolving, informed by emerging research and your feedback. If you’d like to learn more about our offerings or suggest topics you’d like us to cover, we would love to hear from you.
