UK Cricket Tour

July 2023

The Cricket Tour to the UK, France and Belgium struck the right balance of friendly fixtures against local opposition, cultural excursions and sporting activities. Playing cricket was certainly the focus, with 20 games played in total, but there was an opportunity to witness Mitch Marsh’s century at Headingley in the 3rd Ashes Test, as well as Vitality Blast T20 matches at The Oval and Old Trafford. A cultural highlight was the day of Battlefields Touring on the Flanders Fields in Belgium and a visit to the graves of two BGS Old Boys, leaving an OBGS tie in remembrance.
