BGS+ Soccer Little Stars

Be part of our ELC to Year 2 program, offering the best soccer development program for kids aged 3-7 years.

BGS+ Soccer Little Stars is designed by highly qualified skill development coaches and delivered by age specific instructors, catering for a diverse group of learners. Our specialist coaches have experience in early childhood learning.

Following the Football for Fun methodology developed by Football Australia, the program is the first of its kind being delivered in the south-eastern suburbs.

BGS+ Soccer Little Stars is a discovery program that focuses on developing motor skills and enjoyment of sport through soccer. Previous experience in soccer is non-essential.

Term 2 Weekly sessions 2024

ELC 

  • Thursday 3.30–4.15pm  
    BGS ELC Students in Long Day care will be supervised to and from the soccer session(s) by BGS Staff members. Parents can collect in the usual manner.
    BGS Students not in Long Day care will require supervision by a parent or carer at all times.

Prep 

  • Monday after school 3.30–4.15pm 
    (There is a 15 minute window between 4.15 and 4.30pm to pick up your child. Our coaches will supervise until 4.30pm)

Year 1 and 2

  • Wednesday after school 3.30–4.15pm 
    (There is a 15 minute window between 4:15 and 4:30pm to pick up your child. Our coaches will supervise until 4:30pm)


All sessions are on the Junior School oval at Brighton Grammar School.

FAQs

  • How do I join Little Stars?

    ELC program and Prep to Year 2 program bookings can be made by clicking the ‘Register’ button at the bottom of the page.

    Enrolments are offered on a per term basis and do not roll over from term to term. All sessions are offered on a first serve basis.

     
  • What does a session look like?

    Participants will play a variety of games that will test their hand/foot-eye coordination, preparing them for all the rigours of structured soccer in the future.

    They will also engage in a multitude of games that focus on the Brighton Grammar core value of Passion, Accountability, Integrity and Respect.

  • Where will the session take place?

    Sessions will occur on the Junior School oval at Brighton Grammar School.

  • What if there is bad weather (rain/lightning etc?)

    Little Stars has access to indoor facilities that will be used during this time. Participants will be advised prior to attending of any changes to venues.

  • Do you offer a school holiday program?

    Yes, details of our holiday program will be released closer to the school holidays.

  • Do you offer private lessons?

    Yes, we will offer 1-on-1 lessons in the future. More details to come.

  • What does my child need to bring to the lesson?

    New students can request a soccer jersey by emailing bgsplus@brightongrammr.vic.edu.au

    Soccer jerseys can be retained from previous enrolment(s) booked session(s)

    Costs associated with jerseys are incorporated into the season fees.

    Runners are preferred.

    Shin-guards are essential. 

  • Can I sign up my child midterm?

    Enrolments are accepted throughout the term.

  • How can I book a make-up lesson?

    Make up sessions are not offered.

Cancellations

Cancellations will be accepted within 7 days from the invoice issue date each term. Withdrawals outside of this timeframe incur an administration fee of $50.
